About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you'll support NDIS participants in their homes and throughout their local community. Every participant is different, so every day will look different. Depending on individual goals, supports may include:

Community participation and social connection
Personal care (where required)
Assistance with daily living activities
Meal preparation
Transport to appointments and activities
Building independence and life skills
Supporting participants to achieve their NDIS goals
Domestic assistance
Meaningful community engagement
Completing high-quality documentation and progress notes

Requirements

Essential

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current Working with Children Check (where applicable)
National Police Check
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
Current Australian Driver Licence
Reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle
Smartphone for electronic documentation
Right to work in Australia

Desirable

Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or equivalent
Previous disability, aged care or community services experience
Medication competency
Experience supporting participants with complex needs, psychosocial disability or behaviours of concern
